So you have made the big decision, your are going to be a Homesteader / or Gardener / or learn about canning, or sewing, or eatable weeds, or herbal medicine!
But wait! There’s a problem… you don’t have,… you don’t know how to,… where do I start? Ahh! Thats why we do what we do.
So,
Plan a Day visit
Send us an email about you or your group. We can schedule a 1 hour tour of our grounds and all that goes into a Homestead. There is no fee, we only ask you to email us and let’s talk about your plans and progress first. If it works with our team and you have a couple of hours, we can schedule to see 2 or 3 of our properties and get lots of ideas.
Plan a weekend visit
2 nights and 2 half days, Checking in on a Friday after 3pm you will start with an orientation of the HMB Homestead and itinerary for the weekend. You will have a homemade dinner of the foods we grow right in our garden. Saturday morning will have several options for the day’s events. Those options are up to you. Do you want to learn classroom style, or maybe you would like to get your hands dirty? Or maybe something a little more relaxing. We will have talked all this out with you before you arrive and be ready to go. The day will be filled with lots to see, tours and Q&A sessions, and each meal will be supplied as if you lived on the property. Saturday night and Sunday is where we make the decisions for the future. See now you are part of the Community (if you want to be). We want to stay in touch and take each step with you as you go. At Handmaid Blessings we are always looking for members to join our team. The biggest qualification is always the hardest, time involved. If you have read through this website and are extremely interested in joining but don’t have a place of your own. You are the best qualified to join our team. We have community members in several different places and facets of the Homesteading Community. Yet, the Handmaid Blessings Homestead is looking for members right here on our property.
